who we are
Founded in 2010 by Zachary R. Ainsworth of Brandon, Mississippi, ZA Construction, LLC started with two employees serving one mainline railroad with pole line removal. Today, ZA Construction, LLC has expanded substantively with over 400 employees serving customers across the United States, to include the entire Railroad industry (mainline and short line) and private industry, with a specialized, industry specific fleet of over 1000 vehicles and equipment. Our base shop/corporate offices are located in Mississippi. To meet our customers’ demands, we have added fully staffed shops in Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Utah and California and acquired strategically placed equipment yards in Texas and Nevada. In 2024, we plan to continue our expansion to better serve our customers!
Never say NO! Never say CAN’T! These words are not in Zachary’s vocabulary. If anyone can do it, we can! If there is a piece of equipment that is needed and it is not available or in our fleet, we will get it! No job is too small or too big! No location is too far! Zachary and his committed staff enjoy a challenge and are always looking for a way to better meet the needs of our current customers as well as ways to reach out to new customers. For example, in 2019, because he saw a need, we added a bridge construction division and a full-blown welding shop. Working at some point in almost all of the 50 U.S. states, ZA Construction, LLC may have 50 or more projects ongoing at any time. Zachary spends much of each week traveling to the various locations and inspecting the progress of the jobs and many times, takes the driver’s seat on a piece of equipment to assist the crew with their duties.
While ZA Construction desires to provide fast and reliable job completion, we also strive to work with the highest of ethical standards and will always complete the job maintaining compliance with all rules, regulations and laws that apply to the railroad industry and any other industry that we provide services for. We screen our applicants thoroughly as we seek to hire only qualified and upstanding citizens who hold to our values and ethics as well.
